Salesforce as a marketing tool

I wanted to share a few ideas on how you can use Salesforce as a marketing tool for your company.

This is a list of my personal ideas, which you can use anytime you wish. If I were you, I would consider implementing these in your org.

Tip #1 - Set up Salesforce as a database of customer reviews

I think the first use of Salesforce as a database is to track the satisfaction of your customers. Use contacts to automate reviews of your products and services by emailing your existing customers. Proactively react to any customer complaints about your services and set up notifications whenever this happens.

Tip #2 - Analyze your leads and sources of income. Find the true value of your customer

When I approached the topic creatively, I even thought that you could track the registration numbers of cars passing by the road where you advert hangs and check how many of those will end up in your parking space next to your shop.

I could invent more creative ideas for tracking the efficiency of your campaigns, but the most important thing is to understand which marketing efforts bring you the most customers.

One day, I was working with my friend who runs a xerox kiosk and stationery shops in the area of the local university. He was competing against other similar points. I interviewed around 200 people, asking what they expect from such a place. The top priority was speed of service. People were not interested in prices; in most cases, they chose places without queues.

My friend hired 2 more people to service customers in the most rush hours. He managed to grew his store income by approx. 20-30 %

Tip #3 - Make your offer personal

Track the different needs of customers using opportunities. Create fields that will help you better understand the unique needs of your customers and stay ahead of the competition.
